First Reader Makes First Purchase

My sister (right) bought the first copy of KILLING MEMORIES. [I'm on the left.... sorry for looking so manly and busted!]

I'm not really sure what to do with myself now. Probably should start editing something else. I think it's safe to say that THE SPIRIT KEEPER trilogy is on hold for now. I'll definitely finish it, but it need 100% of my focus and it seems like the next logical step is to start editing KILLING MODELS. Anyway... I'm happy to have the book up and available (and by my set deadline).

You can find it on Smashwords and Amazon.

  1. I bought mine earlier today! I'll be reading it later so I'll come back and let you know my thoughts tomorrow, probably. I'm so excited to read it, see how it's changed and what's still the same!

  2. I bought it last night and finished it this morning! It was just as good as I remembered, and, while, I noted small changes from the original on FP (like Moo having an iPhone), Estela, Caleb, Moo, Adam and the gang were just as great as I remembered! I did notice a bunch of typos and missing words here and there but nothing that detracted from the actual novel. I really hope that you hurry and post the other two as ebooks soon because I just got a Kindle and Killing Memories is the best book I've put on it so far! Plus, I really loved the Caleb/Estela angst that comes later and now I'm itching to read those two ASAP as well :) I also miss Hostile Kisses and A Starter Boyfriend but I can be patient :P

  3. @Kitty: Thanks for buying it! :) I'm excited for you to read it as well :) I was surprised that i didn't really change it too much. I thought it was going to need a lot of work. I'm actually more concerned about book 2. Anyway, enjoy!

@Sarah: I did have to go back and change some details (little technology things). For example, Estela had an answering machine at the beginning and not a cell phone. Even though I wrote the first draft in 2006 (and had a cell phone at the time) it wasn't all consuming like they are now. I knew that it was going to have a few errors in it (unfortunately). I didn't do my "read aloud" draft, which tends to catch all of those little things. If you remember any off the top of your head let me know and I'll go in and fix them. I am glad that they didn't detract from the novel in your eyes--I hope it's that way for everyone else! Thanks so much for buying and reading. I have plans to post all of the stories you mentioned, but it'll just take a little time. I'll start on Killing Models this week probably! :)
